Seen here the plastic is hot and dipped into our molds, then it is rushed with cold water to harden the plastic for it to keep its shape. More #howitsmade here! We are making asparagus trays here - yum yum! The trays are already pre-cut and printed, and at this stage we are forming and gluing. They are then packed into large bags, skidded, and shipped off to the customer to fill with their delicious asparagus. Similar trays are also made for other other types of produce like tomatoes! This machine runs at approximately 60 / min making these trays. The machine speed really depends on the size of the tray and type of machine. Compressed air is used to grab the trays with suction cups and shoot the little drops of glue as the tray passes through. The tank in front is full of melted glue that feeds through hoses to the guns. Finally the head plunges the tray and folds the corners perfectly into shape. The glue dries almost immediately to hold the tray's shape. Then bagged, skidded, and loaded on a truck to go off to the customer! #madeincanada #ontariomade #asparagus

Apple baskets are the new go to package 🥰🍏🍎. Eco-friendly, completely recyclable / biodegradable and they looks awesome! We did a little promo photo-shoot a few weeks ago, but posted this to remember pre-snow life ☀️ ☃️ last picture was our harvest from our one lonely tree tree 🧐🌳 I think we’ll stick to packaging... 😛

Winter is not known to have an abundance of produce growing, the fields are white instead of green. But some of the produce that is grown in the summer and fall have a very long storage life like potatos, garlic and mushrooms! These can be purchased in the store all year round and are considered in season for winter! ⠀ ⠀ For our sweet potatoes we recommend a Jute bag or potato bag, which range in size form 5lb to 50lb. We suggest putting your garlic in a garlic rope net where it can hang and easily be displayed. Mushrooms usually are grown inside and can grow all year round, one of our best selling products is our 5lb and 10lb mushroom box! And the potatoes can be packaged into a solid potato bag or one with a window!

Cranberries, apples, pumpkins and onions are just some of our favourites!
